Truck source plate.

Initial placement of truck, and color correction.

Cut the truck out.

Added logs.

Added greenery.

Added sand.

Added water

The water and horizon were made up from several other shots.

The man, dog, Frisbee launcher and animated Frisbee we made were added as separate plates.

To keep the focus on the main subject matter, any boats in the background were removed.

The truck and man, the dog running, the frisbee launcher machine, and the flying frisbee which we made and animated on the Pablo IQ are all seperate layers. We also added a different sky that was more dramatic, removed some logs that were on the sand, and tracked on a move from a different shot.

The red strap at the back of the truck was traced and removed.

The frisbee thrower did not work and had wires attached to it to make it move.
The wires were tracked and removed.

Working form the source R3D files provides many creative advantages because you are always working with the maximum resolution, bit depth, and color space possible.
In this example we applied one ISO settings from the R3D to be able to preserve detail in the clouds and another ISO setting for the foreground elements.
The middle image shows the final composite with color correction.
