    We like the term "video sweetening" or the traditional term "color grading" because "color correction" implies fixing something that is wrong. Although the procedure can be used to fix problems, it's more of a creative process where color, lighting and overall balance are tweaked to create a unique visual style. more

  • Super 8mm

    Lightpress Super 8 transfers have more than double the resolution of a "Rank" transfer and benefit from the same noise reduction and color correction technology used for S16mm/35mm transfers.  As one client put it,  "They treat Super 8 like it was 35mm".  more

  • Final Cut Pro Suite

    Lightpress offers a very cool Eames style, Final Cut ProHD suite w/ After Affects 7.0, Photoshop CS2, 8TB of Xraid storage and access to every deck in our rack. The suite is also available for editing or viewing at a rate of $200/hr, with a day rate of $800 for a 10 hr day. more 

  • Transfer to Drive

    We offer direct to drive film transfers. The rate is $250 per hour of capture / file management, in addition to the telecine charge.  We do offer a standby rate of $125/hr. We require that you provide a MAC OS formatted drive. more

  • Drive to Tape

    Output your media from our Final Cut Pro HD suite to HDCam SR, HDCam, HDV, DVCPro HD, Digital Betacam,  BSP, DVCam or Mini DV.  The rate is $250 per hour*.  more

  • Conversions

    Lightpress offers HD/SD conversions utilizing the Teranex video processor. more
